Villa Onice is a beautiful Villa on the Miata Hill, within a small residential area of extra luxury villas, built by one of the most famous architects in the world (Studio Moretti). The 12 villas are a few minutes from outside links yet at the same time immersed in the quiet amid, the granitic rocks and thousand colors of Gallura.
The architect has introduced a new architectural style making this property one of the most fascinating of the whole Costa Smeralda. A contemporary and streamlined design, consisting in clean lines interspersed with large windows, merges with the classical and traditional Sardinian style.
The architect has applied Feng Shui strictures. These encourage man to exploit the energy of space following the laws of nature. According to Feng Shui, for example, the entrance area is one of the finest points of the dwelling as it is through this that the Ch’i (vital energy) passes in and out. At the entrance there should be no restrictions and it must be left as free as possible. In fact, the internal and external flooring has been made of strips of antique straw colored marble and close to the center of the room picking up the positive energy around the fireplace.
The Villa Onice living room has big spaces. There is a feeling of convergence toward the center where a fireplace in steel and glass conveys a source of external energy.
The interior is a contrast between the art-deco table, the 17th century font and the gold lacquered Tibetan chests.
Clean lines and intelligent construction, make this Villa unique in its style and striking from a sensory point of view: the 40 sqm kitchen with large lovely open air terrace, paved with the same marble. The interior of the kitchen is exquisitely furnished: there are ovens, hobs and utensils, fridge/freezer and a wine cellar; a Gaggenau grill with hood, a pizza oven built by master craftsmen, spacious work surfaces to allow you to work efficiently and safely. The contrast of stone and wood and natural materials used in modern style are the highlight of this Villa.
The “Master Bedroom” is accessed directly from the living room through a living room-office, large walk-in wardrobe, complete with everything, made of zebrawood, illuminated by lights that create a spectacular visual effect. The ‘runner’ with two sinks and a corner cupboard, the same color as the exquisite nuanced marble creates a feeling of harmony with the runner separating the spacious emotional shower. The second full bathroom with elegant Jacuzzi is located on the right side of the room.
This spacious suite consists of double Frau, king size bed, breakfast nook, plus a large outdoor area with private sea view on La Maddalena Archipelago. Perfection has been sought in every detail. The master bedroom blends the grains of two precious marbles with that of African wood.
At the “Caprera Junior Suite” everything is in keeping with the environment, thanks to the warm tones of the wood, marble straw, it soon becomes sober and welcoming. The natural luminosity delivered by windows does its part to make it even softer.
If we just look out of the large window of the lovely “Dany Junior Suite“, what stands out is the breathtaking view of the archipelago of La Maddalena across from the roof garden with its colorful flowers.
The “Torre Guest House“ owes its name to the fact it was a fortification in a high position. This is a place where you can escape from the world to pursue intellectual or leisure pursuits. The Tower’s elegant architectural lines hide the great refinement of the interior which cleverly uses the play of light between the huge windows and spaces. The careful use of light and space, through the use of huge glass windows with their magnificent sea views, creates a unique feeling of being both inside and out at the same time.
The outdoor area, a large, grassy space with juniper trees, chairs, sofas and beds is very popular with sun seekers wanting to enjoy the stunning views over the sea.
The “Stazzo“ is composed of two bedrooms with bathrooms. It is been completely restored respecting the original features, such as 19th C juniper beams, handmade terracotta floor originating from a desecrated temple, with the doors and windows reflecting the original design.
The “Suite Lion Valley” is elegant and balanced in distribution of volumes but with a modern twist: the large windows flooding the interior with light. The pearl gray tissue of the twin beds combined with the ivory walls adds maximum impact. A hallway separates the bedroom and the spacious walk-in closet with the bathroom and sensory shower, luxury linen, marble finishes. Like the rest of the Villa, the interior of the lion valley suite is set to a maximum lightness. It goes without saying that the open terrace offers ample space and excellent sea view.
In fact the highlight of Villa Solana is its amazing 360° view over the granite rocks which have been eroded and sculpted by the wind taking the shapes of animals. The swimming pool set among the granite sculptures is completely covered in marble, with large relaxation areas, 25 meters long, equipped with a counter and heated.
We often hear about the concept of wellness, usually referred to as “lifestyle-oriented welfare” in the fullest sense of the term. We could not miss out on this. The property has opted for a 60 sqm gym, completely furnished by Technogym while the library boasts a large collection of old and modern books. There is also a conference table for 10-12 people.
The Villa can be rented both monthly and weekly.
